The glowing objects falling out the night sky last Saturday at The Palms golf course were not signs of an alien invasion, but a sign that some people won some prizes.

The Rotarians sold tickets for numbered golf balls which were put in a hopper and hoisted above a special surface with 10 holes, then dropped. For each ball that went into a hole, a prize was awarded.
Ticket holders were also entitled to play in the Rotarians’ Glow in the Dark Golf Adventure, playing nine holes in the dark with glowing golf balls.

Tri-Properties donated the use of the golf course, and other businesses donated prizes.

Other winners were Gene Stevens, set of golf clubs, donated by ReMaxRealty; Scott Sullivan, four rounds of golf at the Palmer Course; Norm Crockett and Brian Beraman, duct cleaning from Iceberg AC; Marco Ruelas, car wash and detailing from Aguilar Mobile Wash and four movie passes from Redd Hills Cinema; Kerry Shakespeare, four rounds of golf at the CasaBlanca golf course, courtesy of Nevada Bank & Trust; Bill Rice, four rounds of golf at the CasaBlanca golf course, courtesy of Nevada Bank & Trust; Joanne Tower, $50 gift certificate from Just Golf; Linda Bennett, two rounds of golf at the Falcon Ridge golf course; Janet Bly, $30 gift certificate at Jadde Sports and a Rotary blanket.
