| “The Rotarian” Magazine MomentThis week’s magazine moment was presented by Yvonne. Val Johnson cofounded the nonprofit, H2O for Life, which matches schools in the U.S. with schools in developing nations that lack clean water and sanitation facilities. The organization works with students to raise funds through fundraisers such as water walks, which simulate the chore of fetching water, sometimes from miles away. Since the organizations founding in 2007, students have raised more than $1 million for projects at schools in 26 countries. |

Does your club participate in the Dictionary Project? If not, one of our St.George clubs would be interested in serving the school in Beaver Dam. And if not, it is a terrific Literacy/Community Service Project. All our clubs in D5420 participate and love it. Look at http://www.dictionaryproject.org or write to me and I can help you set it up.
It seems that I once heard that an Elks Club in Mesquite was doing the project there, but have no way to contact them.
